Seoul of Discretion

Guess where I am now? Go on you never will. Oh except I think I mentioned it in a previous post. I'm in Inchon Airport, which is South Korea, and George Bush's 'plane is parked just across the airfield. Here's here too, obviously having a last go on Airforce One before he slips into retirement as the hightly paid consultant of Blackwater or Halliburton or another of those publicly spirited companies. It does however mean that security is a little tight, there are people with guns everywhere which is weird because it's only his 'plane here, not actually Georgie Jr himself.  He's off sticking his tongue out at the axis of evil at the moment. But there you go, god forbid anyone take a photo of a 747 with no one on it in case they are "trrsts" as old dubbya might say.

As for my flight we finally got off the ground after a two hour delay, which I dont think is too bad to get a completely new aeroplane fuelled, cleaned and stocked with pillows and blakets and duty free crap that nobody ever buys. Then it was just slightly chaotic while they put everyone back on. In fact it suddenly became very low tech as the gate staff had to hand write the name of everyone re-entering the aeroplane as their fancy boarding pass reader doesn't work when everyone has already given in their boarding passes. So far the flight has been very pleasant, but very bumpy. I think the pilot is trying to make up time to stop the guy across the cabin from me from complaining any more. Honestly he's spoken to every member of the cabin crew so far and told them how important he is and how inconvenienced he is. Over and over again.  I don't quite know what they are meant to do: I would suggest sticking a rocket in his ass and sending him on ahead but I don't think that's in their training.

Just been given a lovely pen by SIA for the delay at Singapore, very nice but metal and handed to us just before we went through security!  So I'm just waiting for the next leg, drinking South Korean Coca-Cola - "The Taste Of Freedom".
